Win10 is on my C:/ drive as any operating system should be, all standard windows folders are also there, so are the PDX-installed user files and folders there. Games (including Stellaris) and Steam are on my D:/ drive. After release of the "new" launcher, the launcher was by default located on C:/ drive at first, but it had an issue with obviously faulty file paths, and so it would not update itself from there. So based on hints on the forum I relocated the launcher to the D:/ drive, besically into the Stellaris folder, i also had the edit the location path file on C:/ to make this work. On next startup it updated itself properly from there, so i left it there. Meanwhile i have also tried to start Stellaris double clicking the *.exe file, circumventing the launcher. The result is the same, mods are not present in game. Could that be an issue and if so, how and which folders would i have to make special rules for (no clue about these depths of the OS on my side, sorry)? On my PC is Win10 pro version 1903 in 64bit and i read it now has additional ransomware protection. If PDX chose for all players, that only up to date mods could be used in Stellaris, that would be a huge bummer for the modding community and mod users, because in fact most mods are not kept up to date for version to version by their progammers. These are everyday people and they cant keep up with all the patches and additional content, naturally. Still, old mods can be useful, if not fantastic, and pre-patch v2.5.1 i was using somewhat between 50 and 100 mods, with like over 70% being outdated version number mods, the game running properly though.
